I was a giant robot addict when I was a kid watching shows like Voltes V, Daimos, Voltron and Transformers and their many spin-offs and knock-offs. I watched them every chance I got and was grumpy if I ended up missing one (usually because of over sleeping) and even had the old Voltron toy and some Transformers ones (we couldn't afford Voltes V). Now, there seems to be a resurgence in interest with of all these old bots with Voltes V getting a new toy version that's much much better than the old one; a long over due official DVD release (it's ridiculously expensive though and doesn't appear to be subtitled); and now the Transformers movie! With toys! I'm really excited to see this movie even though there's been a lot of outcry about how it doesn't look like the cartoons. I think they've made the right decision in putting as much detail and realism possible to our beloved robots. The toyline looks promising as well! Just check out the new bumblebee design on the left! Just makes you feel like a kid all over again. :)
